Beginner Yoga –
This very informal class is offered to the beginning yoga student or those students who like a gentler class that covers all the “basics of yoga” plus plenty of time for Q&A. May be taught as an ongoing class, workshop or series.
Classical Hatha Yoga –
Hatha yoga is usually suitable for all students regardless of age, previous experience, or ability. Class focus is on seeking balance in each individual’s body. Beginners as well as intermediate students’ needs will be met. Each
class has a different focus and series of asanas (postures) designed to meet this goal.
Heartfull (Anusara-influenced) -
In this 1 hour class, you will discover, by following your heart, the freedom that yoga gives your body, mind and spirit. Whether you're brand new to yoga, or have practiced before, you will learn proper breath and alignment of common poses in the sun salutation series & more.
Kids' Yoga -
We all walk the same path in the end, but a few of us get started a little earlier...YogaUnity is proud to offer a specially designed class for kids with all you love about yoga: strength, flexibility, and-most importantly-inner peace. And for the kids, we add a big dose of creativity, spontaneity, and fun. Every class is different and shaped by the kids, ensuring a yoga lesson everyone will love. The benefits are as endless as the kids' energy!
KSK -
Known in Tibet as Tsa lung, Trul khor, and Yantra Yoga, Kaya Sampat Kriya (KSK) is the yoga practice of the Suddha Lineage. It includes self-massage and acupressure, postures, stretching, dynamic movement, breathwork, gestures, locks, mantra recitation, progressive relaxation, and meditative contemplation, to center the practitioner and align body, energy, and mind. KSK hones the practitioner's faculties and supports the manifestation of natural perfection. While these sixteen kriyas constitute the basis of the Form Series (with required adaptations for individual needs), the practice of Suddha Yoga entails deepening KSK practice through two subsequent levels: the Energy and Mind Series. No previous experience or fitness level is required. There is no competition, no striving, and no ultimate goal to be attained. All can derive benefit from the practice regardless of yoga or fitness experience.
Kundalini -
Kundalini Yoga blends movement, breath, mantra, music, meditation, and the science of sequence to teach you the art of relaxation, self-healing and elevation. Through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, your glandular and nervous systems are stimulated and your capacity for creative potential is heightened. You gain inner vitality to compensate for the adverse effects of stress so you can excel in life. No previous experience in yoga is required. ~It is our birthright to be healthy, happy and holy. It is there for us if only we stand up and claim it.
Power Yoga -
Safely challenge yourself and explore limit. Taught from the base of a posture with beginners in mind and intensifications offered for the seasoned yogi & athlete. A constant flow of postures carefully linked together to allow the busy mind to achieve focus. This breath based practice will guide your body and allow the mind to quiet. The body will gain strength, the joints suppleness, the mind focus. *Note-the temperature in the room is usually 80-85 degrees. This will enable the body to open safely without overheating - please bring a towel & water.
Restorative -
Restorative Yoga is a gentle class where props are used to support and allow the body to release into deep relaxation. This class is great for those who are new to yoga, have an injury, or are looking for a nurturing semi-private lesson.
Sangha On the Square -
Sangha means noble association. Essentially Sangha on the Square is an informal opportunity for the community to come together to share our paths, learn and practice techniques for transcendence, and strengthen our resolve to manifest natural perfection. Our sangha is led by Tashi Nyima.
Senior -
It's never too late to discover the health benefits of yoga. This is a gentle beginners class designed for seniors, as well as those with chronic health issues. Class is designed to increase mobility and strength as well as promote an overall sense of well-being. No experience or flexibility required!
Techniques Class –
This class is ideal for all experience levels. Class begins with a 5 minute routine designed to increase joint mobility. One or more basic sun salutations may be performed as well. An average of three asanas or poses are broken down and discussed in detail during this class. Plenty of time for discussion and questions is provided. Class always ends with a final relaxation.
VinHatha Yoga -
Enjoy getting to know your body and mind better as we explore the possibilities and variations of various yoga poses. Props are often used in this class to better define and liberate postures for all bodies, and an emphasis on yoga anatomy may be observed in a light-hearted and celebrated way. All levels are welcome as we incorporate some gentle flow, with an emphasis on breathing, into each class.
Vinyasa -
Vinyasa refers to the linking of postures with the breath. The purpose of vinyasa is to create heat in the body, increase circulation and to purify toxins. This is a faster-paced class with a varying emphasis of poses (ie. hips, backbends, twists).
Yoga for Weight Loss -
This special yoga class is a classical hatha yoga class that focuses specifically on burning fat, balancing the metabolism and entire glandular system, improving digestion, toning the body so it looks leaner and more proportional, lowering cortisol levels, and increasing lean muscle mass so that you burn more calories even when sleeping! Hatha yoga is usually suitable for all students regardless of age, previous experience, or ability. Beginners as well as intermediate students’ needs will be met. Each class has a different focus and series of asanas (postures) designed to meet the above goals and beyond.

Qi Gong -
Offered as an introduction to Medical QiGong and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), one of the oldest and most effective healing systems, this class teaches Nei Dan, in the Da Mo method, which consists of slow movements anyone can master. Together with relaxation and breathing techniques, it will improve your concentration and focus.
QiGong has a multitude of positive effects for body, mind and soul, including but not limited to: self-healing; stronger immunity; an increase in alertness and feeling more energized; improved sleep patterns, concentration and performance; an overall sense of relaxation and peace.
