Patty attended her first yoga class in 2006, seeking an alternative to running, an activity that had caused damage to her knees. Yoga quickly became a healthier alternative to running and an ongoing learning experience. She was fortunate to attend teacher training, securing her 200 hour certification in June 2009. During training, Patty began teaching yoga to inmates at the Collin County Jail in a program for probation violators. Patty’s previous experience with addicted individuals along with her involvement at the jail program led her to attend training dedicated to those in recovery. It is with gratitude to all her teachers that she can further her journey and share the healing gift of yoga.
Patty enjoys spending time with her people family and the furry four-legged kind that inhabit her home.
She is registered with Yoga Alliance and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Criminology from The Ohio State University. Go Buckeyes!
